Use of Econika phytosuppositories «Activated» in the complex treatment of patients with chronic prostatitis
Along with traditional anti-inflammatory therapy in the complex treatment of chronic prostatitis, we used the biologically active preparation of Econika phytosuppositories «Activated».
Two groups of patients were observed – the main group (18 patients) and the control group (12 patients). Patients in the main group additionally received “Activated” suppositories: 1 suppository 2 times a day – for 5 days, 1 suppository per day (at night) – for the next 10 days.
Patients in the control group received normal basic therapy. Before the start of treatment, patients complained of:
- Lower abdominal pain – 24 patients (80%);
- Perineal pain – 18 (60%);
- Lumbar-sacral-coccygeal pain – 9 (30%);
- Radiating pain in the testicles – 12 (40%);
- Discharge from the penis – 14 (46%);
- Ringing pain during urination – 8 (26%);
- Frequency of urination – 18 (60%).
During laboratory examination of the prostate gland secretion, a leukocyte reaction was detected in both groups of patients.
During treatment, the pain syndrome in patients of the main group decreased by 3-4 days, urethral discharge completely disappeared. By the 7th day of treatment, moderate subjective sensations remained only in 2 (11%) patients. And in the control group, by the end of the first half, the pain syndrome remained in 5 (41%), and urethral discharge in 3 (25%) patients.
Urination disorders on the 7th day were noted in 2 (11%) patients of the main group and 3 patients (25%) of the control group.
The leukocyte reaction persisted until the end of treatment in 2 (11%) patients of the main group and 3 (25%) of the control group.
Thus, the inclusion of the biologically active drug fat capsules “Activated” in the complex therapy of chronic prostatitis:
- Accelerates the onset of the remission phase;
- Allows to eliminate pain syndrome in a shorter period of time;
- Contributes to the strengthening of the anti-inflammatory effect, reduces the leukocyte reaction.
Phytosuppositories “Activated” are well tolerated by patients, do not cause side effects, which allows us to recommend them in the complex treatment of chronic prostatitis.
Similar conclusions have been made when working with patients with prostate adenoma.
